Thank You Rory Bruer!
President and Chairman from 2005 – 2008
Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation

While Rory was president and chairman, the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation raised over $23 million dollars, which included one of the most successful Pioneer Dinners ever, honoring Jeff Blake, that raised $2 million dollars!

With consolidation in the industry, he helped grow our exhibitor partners from 12 to 18, and Pioneer membership grew from 2,700 to 3,000. Rory oversaw the charity’s venture into being a leading provider of neonatal equipment, distribution of over 80,000 free educational booklets and the Pioneers Assistance Program, which has helped over 700 people and provided $3.5 million dollars in aid to needy individuals.

Rory also helped the charity develop and grow relationships with:
  •     The ALS Society
  •     Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City
  •     Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville
  •     The Motion Picture and Television Fund
  •     The National Boys & Girls Club
  •     The COPD Coalition
  •     The Will Rogers Museum and the Will Rogers Family
Thank you for your commitment and leadership to the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.
