This website is run by Ira Byock, M.D., and provides resources for individuals facing serious illness.  Dr. Byock, a palliative care expert and advocate for enhanced end-of-life care, also offers information for families and professional caregivers.

Beyond Indigo is part of a a privately held company called Kelasan Inc. based out of Chanhassen, MN. Beyond Indigo is currently the only business of Kelasan Inc. Beyond Indigo has been live on the Web since 1997. The goal of this company is to provide grief support, products and services to individuals and companies who assist people who are grieving.

Americans for Better Care of Dying

An organization based in Washington D.C. that aims to improve end-of-life care by discovering the social and practical changes needed for effective, long-term programs.

Caring Connections

A program of National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO). The program is a national consumer engagement initiative to improve the care at the end of life, supported by a grant from the Rober Wood Johnson Foundation.

Growth House

A collection of international resources for end-of-life care. This site includes a search engine to provide in-depth resources on compassionate care for those suffering from serious illness.

Hospice Foundation of America

Hospice Foundation of America is a not-for-profit organization that provides leadership in the development and application of hospice and its philosophy of care. Through programs of professional development, research, public education and information, Hospice Foundation of America assists those who cope either personally or professionally with terminal illness, death, and the process of grief.

Hospice Net

This website provides information for dying persons, their families, and professionals who are working with them.  Topics include general information about the hospice movement, advance directives, pain and symptom management, and helpful information about the grieving process.

National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC)

NAHC is the nation's largest trade association representing the interests and concerns of home care agencies, hospices, home care aide organizations, and medical equipment suppliers. Simply put, NAHC is the one organization dedicated to making home care and hospice provider's lives easier

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is the oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. The organization is committed to improving end-of-life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
