This organization is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association dedicated to enriching the experience and providing information about aging for older adults and their families.

Benefits Checkup

Benefits CheckUp web site helps thousands every day to find programs for people ages 55 and over that may pay for some of their costs of prescription drugs, health care, utilities, and other essential items or services.

CareGuide

CareGuide is a care management company dedicated to helping people lead more comfortable, secure and independent lives. Founded in 1996, CareGuide empowers families by providing them with personalized solutions and support in the daily process of care giving.

Eldercare Locator

The Eldercare Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging, and it connects older Americans and their caregivers with sources of information on senior services. The service links those who need assistance with state and local area agencies on aging and community-based organizations that serve older adults and their caregivers.

Family Caregiver Alliance

Founded in 1977, Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) was the first community-based nonprofit organization in the country to address the needs of families and friends providing long-term care at home. FCA now offers programs at national, state and local levels to support and sustain caregivers.

National Alliance for Caregiving

The National Alliance for Caregiving is dedicated to the support to family caregivers and the professionals who help them and to increasing public awareness of issues facing family caregivers.

National Care Planning Council

Dedicated to helping the public recognize and implement the need for long-term care planning.

National Family Caregivers Association

The National Family of Caregivers Association (NFCA) supports, empowers, educates and speaks up for more than 50 million Americans who care for a chronically ill, aged or disabled loved one. NFCA reaches across the  boundaries of different diagnoses, relationships and life stages to address the common needs and concerns of all family caregivers.

National Respite Locator Service

Assists parents, caregivers and professional to find respite services in their state and local area. A free service that delivers programs and strategies to enhance the lives of children, youth and families.

The Well Spouse Association

Well Spouse is a national, not-for-profit membership organization that gives support to wives, husbands and partners of the chronically ill and/or disabled.

Administration on Aging

The Administration on Aging (AoA) website is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of a wide variety of topics, programs and services related to aging, including physical activity.

American Association of Retired Persons

AARP is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to addressing the needs and interests of persons 50 and older. Their website contains a multitude of information and linkages.

National Institute on Aging

The National Institute on Aging (NIA), one of the 25 institutes and centers of the National Institutes of Health, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. The NIA’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of older Americans.

A Place for Mom

A Place for Mom is the nation's largest Eldercare Referral Service. They serve families who are searching for care and housing options for elderly loved ones. Their mission is to provide families with information and referrals to care communities that meet their needs. A Place for Mom has over 6,000 long-term care communities participating in its referral network. This includes all of the top twenty largest assisted living companies in the United States.

American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging

The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) is committed to advancing the vision of healthy, affordable, ethical aging services for America. The association represents 5,600 mission-driven, not-for-profit nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and senior housing facilities, and home and community-based service providers.

This national nonprofit provides a variety of services nationwide for children and adults living with disabilities and special needs. Services and resources include medical rehabilitation, employment training, adult day care, in-home care, transportation solutions for care givers and more.

National Private Duty Association, (317) 663-3637

This professional association provides leadership, representation and education to the non-medical private duty home care industry. New Lifestyles is a great source for senior living and care options. They provide you with everything you need to make an informed, comfortable decision about your own or your loved one's future. Information about independent retirement communities, assisted living, nursing homes, Alzheimer's care, home or hospice care, or other senior products or services are accessible.

Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) is one of the nation's largest non-profit providers of housing and services for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and low-income families.

National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys

The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. is a non-profit association that assists lawyers, bar organizations and others who work with older clients and their families. Established in 1987, the Academy provides a resource of information, education, networking and assistance to those who deal with the many specialized issues involved with legal services to the elderly and people with special needs.

National Senior Citizens Law Center

The National Senior Citizens Law Center advocates nationwide to promote the independence and well-being of low-income elderly individuals and persons with disabilities.
